Cathy Ireland is a passionate business development and program manager professional with significant and diverse industry background and experiences. Over the course of her career she has successful created and implemented business development strategies, planning, and managed professional development training, and facilitated the implementation of entrepreneurial focused programs, events and opportunities. In 1994 Cathy moved with her family to the Washington DC area, where she worked at the Canadian Embassy, supporting the directives of the Minister Counsellor of International Business for six years. While there she supported Canada’s first Businesswomen’s Trade Mission to Washington D.C. Seeking to broaden her work experience Cathy joined the training team for Intelsat, an international satellite company, before returning to live in Canada in 2003. Leveraging her international experience Cathy initiated a successful growth stage strategy and implementation plan to establish an US footprint for the Canadian technology company in Toronto, she was working for as the Director of Business Development for North America. More recently returning to her rural roots in Eastern Ontario she has provided support for entrepreneurial and research focused initiatives for Peterborough Economic Development, Northumberland County, and Kingston Economic Development. She currently works for QuinteVation, managing the REVUP program and PARO Centre for Women’s Enterprise, connecting entrepreneurs to business solutions.
