Location: Flexible within Canada (remote, with some occasional travel and on-site participation required upon request).

Your mission? Provide regional-based leadership for an important nation-wide research project aimed at uncovering how Canadian women entrepreneurs are faring, and what supports they need.

About PARO Centre for Women’s Enterprise: Recognized as one of Canada’s leading support networks for women entrepreneurs, we are dedicated to strengthening women-owned small businesses, fostering community economic development, and breaking down barriers to create equitable access to resources and opportunities.

We are excited to lead the “Collaboration for Transformation” project, a 21-month national initiative aimed at advancing the economic security and prosperity of women entrepreneurs across the Atlantic, Ontario, Prairies, and Pacific regions. This transformative effort focuses on tackling systemic barriers faced by women entrepreneurs, with special emphasis on Indigenous, newcomer, and diverse women with intersecting identities. The efforts of this project will create new pathways for business growth, build strong ecosystems of support, and ensure that women-led businesses thrive like never before.

As part of this initiative, we are seeking (4) passionate and driven Regional Coordinators to join our team and help us make a lasting impact. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to a transformative project, collaborate with diverse stakeholders, and play a pivotal role in shaping the future for women entrepreneurs across Canada.

What You’ll Do:

• Oversee project deliverables in your region, and collaborate with other 3 Regional Coordinators, and the project Research Team; and report on your planned activities and results to the Lead Project Coordinator and CEO.
• Manage and execute project work plans, while collaborating with the project team members, ensuring timely delivery and thorough documentation.
• Lead and supervise regional teams, fostering collaboration and strong ecosystem partnerships.
• Develop strategies to engage stakeholders and build robust ecosystems of support.
• Tackle systemic barriers in entrepreneurship through focused research and action.
• Ensure and carry out regional outreach and promotion in a way that brings together women entrepreneurs, business support and community leaders to participate in all facets of the project.
• Champion inclusive outreach strategies to represent and support diverse communities.
• Carry out surveys and focus groups.
• Work with Facilitators to bring together information and data from roundtables and discussions to gather insights and inform systemic change.
• Work collaboratively to identify key models, strategies, approaches, practices, programs, policies, and/or protocols in order to achieve transformative change through strategic implementation that addresses the identified barriers and gaps.
• Oversee completion of the Collaborative Action Plan

• A strategic thinker who is passionate about systemic change and women’s empowerment.
• Experienced in stakeholder engagement, project coordination, and community development.
• Committed to fostering diversity, equity, and inclusion.
• Sensitive to the unique challenges faced by underserved communities, including Indigenous, BIPOC, 2SLGBTQIA+, and persons with disabilities.

What You Bring:

• Proven expertise in managing and coordinating multi-stakeholder projects.Exceptional communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
• A strong understanding of gender-based analysis and the systemic barriers within entrepreneurship.
• A results-driven approach with the ability to navigate complex challenges.

• Outline of previous experience including work sample

Description of approach including:

• identifying deliverables that will be addressed
• your consultant approach to centering the experiences of Indigenous, BIPOC, persons with disabilities, 2SLGBTQ+ individuals, etc.
• high level work plan describing methods, approaches, timelines and roles for the work required
• Description of anticipated challenges, risks and difficulties and proposed strategies to address them
