Job purpose: This position is responsible for capturing and analyzing all data related for PARO projects, and projects where PARO interacts within an ecosystem of partners, with priority on direct data and evaluation for the Prosper Circles project. This includes statistical demographics of the women, intersectional identity information capture, and other statistics related to client relationship management. This position is also responsible for issuing and to support the analyzing all evaluations, including the quarterly project evaluations distributed to participants, and suggesting amendments or changes to the program based on reported client experience. This position is also requires gathering accurate data for, and completing reports or other written correspondence related PARO and where PARO is involved in ecosystem activities for Prosper Circles project.

Overview: reporting to Head Office, as a member of the Business Counsellor team, the Circle Coordinator/Counsellor works with other Business Counsellors, Management, and community partners to deliver business development training and services for women entrepreneurs, including one-on-one business counseling, business plan development, and connecting with wraparound services as needed, especially for those most vulnerable As a priority activity, the Circle Coordinator/Counsellor will provide training and support for development of Peer Lending Prosper Circles; provide ongoing guidance and advisory assistance to women who are in existing Circles; support Circle members to complete Loan applications, and ensure Circles know how to coordinate/process/approve Peer Circle member applications and loan/grant applications as per the Circle Loan Approval Process.

SALARY
Contract position for 3.5 days (equivalent to 28 hours) per month. $300/day (the equivalent of an 8-hour day) and $150 for a one-half-day equivalent for planning, reporting, and follow-up ($1050/month). For planned and approved travel, mileage, accommodation, and meals will also be covered using PARO set rates. Time at PARO meetings can be charged at an equivalent hourly rate over and above 3.5 days.
JOB DESCRIPTION
As a contracted business providing services to PARO, you will provide services as a Business Growth Advisor to women living in Northern, Eastern and Southern Ontario. Your business, representing PARO, will assist other women to start, sustain, and scale up their businesses using various technologies such as telephone, email, Zoom, CRMs, Learning Management Systems, BaseCamp, and other communication software and supports, travel, and in-person meetings when required (as permitted per Covid 19). Your business services to women will include providing holistic entrepreneurial counselling and webinars; development and support for PARO Circles; development, delivery, and support to BIZCamps and small networking events; connecting women to affordable business financing options within PARO and those researched from outside PARO; and reporting statistics, connecting on BASECAMP, and invoicing monthly to receive payment from PARO. You will build positive relationships and communicate with strategic partners and other agencies to support getting new referrals and providing services to women entrepreneurs to ensure the success and sustainability of their businesses.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
You have experience operating a successful business and managing the efficient use of time. You have facilitation/coordination skills, financial acumen, business development, and reporting skills. You are a team player, but can work independently; self-motivated, and flexible, Post-Secondary Education in Business Administration, Accounting and/or Education, or a related field. You have proven experience with business planning and operations, group training and facilitation, coaching/counselling, mentoring, and related business experience. Experience reaching out to clients and building good customer relations; knowledge of women’s issues, and innovative approaches to business development, microfinance, and community economic development are definite assets. You are a team player, positive and self-motivated, and fluent in English, but the ability to speak and write in French, Ojibwe or Oji-Cree would be an asset.
