To celebrate, we are hosting the PARO Summit Gala: The Eras of PARO, a landmark evening honouring women entrepreneurs who have shaped communities, industries, and opportunities across Canada.

On Thursday, December 4th, 2025, at the Superior Inn in Thunder Bay, this unforgettable event will gather leaders, partners, and changemakers for:

• A dynamic tradeshow featuring women-led businesses
• Recognition of outstanding PARO women through the Eras of PARO Awards
• An inspiring keynote presentation by Maryam Monsef, Founder & CEO of ONWARD and internationally recognized speaker, facilitator, and advisor.

At our 30th Anniversary Awards to be held in person and virtually on Dec 4th, 2025, PARO Centre for Women’s Enterprise – Canada, will recognize the achievements of women entrepreneurs building Canada’s Economy. 

These Awards will honour women who have grown their business,  community or region, demonstrating PARO values of cooperation, ownership, integrity, responsibility, and peer support throughout PARO’s history.

Era 1: 1995–2005 – Women Building the Community
This era celebrates the pioneering spirit of women who laid the foundation for PARO’s mission in Northern Ontario. During these formative years, women came together to build resilient communities through entrepreneurship, mutual support, and grassroots leadership. These awards honour the trailblazers who empowered others, created economic opportunities, and fostered a culture of collaboration that sparked lasting change at the local level.

Era 2: 2005–2015 – Women Building the Networks
As PARO grew beyond its northern roots, this era marks a decade of connection, innovation, and bold expansion across Ontario. Women leaders worked to strengthen networks, create inclusive ecosystems, and bridge gaps between urban and rural communities. These awards recognize the visionaries who scaled impact, forged strategic partnerships, and broadened the reach of PARO’s empowering model throughout the province.

Era 3: 2015–2025 – Women Building the Nation
With national reach and growing influence, this era celebrates the women who are shaping Canada’s future through collaboration, innovation, and advocacy. From coast to coast to coast, these award recipients exemplify leadership that transcends boundaries—driving change, advancing equity, and building a more inclusive economy for all. Their work reflects PARO’s evolution into a national force for women’s entrepreneurship and empowerment.
