Jean Coles is a member of the Board of Directors for Community Futures Middlesex. She owns and operates three Sport Clips Haircut franchises located within the City of London, is currently a part-time professor at Western University and Fanshawe College and regularly leads and supports a number of community economic development focused initiatives within the City of London and rural Middlesex County. Jean graduated with her MBA from Norwich University, BACS from Western University and a Certificate in Marketing Management from Humber College.
Patricia (Patti) Carr has worked in not-for-profits for over 35 years with the focus on assisting small and medium sized businesses in Northern Ontario. Her current role with NECO Community Futures Development Corporation provides business counselling and financial resources for entrepreneurs starting up a business or for business growth and expansions in Nipissing East and East Parry Sound regions.
Tina Heathers has a Masters Degree in Business and has spent many years coaching and training small business owners. Working with the Community Futures Program for the past 14 years, Tina has specialized in helping rural entrepreneurs to grow and prosper in their local communities. She has also developed a specialized Women in Business Loan Program through her local Community Futures office to assist women entrepreneurs with one on one assistance in developing their business ideas and gaining access to funding to start or grow their operation. A business owner herself for many years, Tina understands and relates to the journey of business development and all that goes with it.
Stacey Schat – Director of Women’s Programs, YWCA Muskoka
Stacey is currently the Director of Women’s Programs at YWCA Muskoka. Stacey joined the YWCA in 2010 and helps facilitate and develop innovative programs to assist women and their children in Muskoka.
YWCA Muskoka envisions a world in which girls, women and gender-diverse people thrive in a safe and equitable society. Having witnessed the erosion of women’s independence and economic stability during the COVID pandemic, she feels strongly that YWCA’s Women in Business program offers women tools and coaching they need to start their own businesses, on their own terms.
A not-for-profit social enterprise, we collaborate to empower women, strengthen small business, and promote community economic development across Ontario.
