Thuy Vuong

PAROBIz project coordinator - eastern oNTARIO

Thuy Vuong

Thuy is Franco-Vietnamese and recently a new Canadian resident living in Ottawa. She holds a Bachelor in applied foreign languages and a Master in Foreign Trade from a Business & Management School in France. She is a passionate business development and project management professional with significant and diverse industry background such as pharmaceuticals, medical supplies and equipment, IT services provider, and logistics.

In 2007, she moved back to Vietnam with her family. Over the years, she worked as an international volunteer, set up in Ho Chi Minh City, the regional office of the European Institute of Cooperation and Development, a French not-for-profit organization. She was strongly involved in the successful implementation of two vocational training programs and an economic empowerment capacity building program towards street vending women.

Last but not least, coming from a family of entrepreneurs, she also took the step at an early age to launch an online business, and later on set up a restaurant. So she is very well aware of the challenges a woman in business has to deal with, alternating phases of overconfidence and daring, and recurring phases of doubts and loneliness. That’s why being able to rely on a competent and caring business counsellor to overcome these moments is definitely a key success factor for any entrepreneur. Thuy is very enthusiastic to join PARO and is ready to bring her energy to serve the business women community in Ontario.
